SOHL is short-hand for the "Sanctity of Human Life."  If there is ever an annual "season" when the SOHL is magnified in churches and our surrouding culture, it is around the sad anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1/22/73 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in our nation.  There is no "official" body which establishes the anniversary date for SOHL observances, so churches often choose a date around 1/22 that works best for them.
