Channel 4's News Coverage of CFL's Sidewalk Supporter Boot Camp

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS & CORRECTIONS: CFL applauds KMOV and their reporter, Craig Cheatham, for doing a good job with this story.  Unfortunately, despite our attempts to do so, Craig and CFL's President, Rev. Merkey,  could not connect during the editing process to clarify a few important details.  Therefore, please remember these important clarifications and corrections as you watch this story:

  1. This is only a SMALL part of what we do at CFL.  To read about our focus, click HERE.
  2. We DO train students to connect with Christ in the gospel so that we naturally radiate humility, joy, grace and truth on the sidewalk.  With gospel-gushing hearts, we equip students to pray and to quietly invite a compassionate, relational connection with men and women entering the clinic.
  3. Susan Calhoun has not attended a CFL Sidewalk Supporter Boot Camp.
  4. CFL as an organization and CFL's Sidewalk Supporter Boot Camp is not officially connected with the 40 Days for Life initiative.
  5. We do not train "anti-abortion protesters," nor is our training about "abortion protest."  In fact, it is in part because of these negative labels and the stereotypical concepts they illicit that we do this training.  We are after gospel-saturated compassion, prayer, and quiet, helpful, relational connections!
  6. We do not encourage a direct/confrontational approach personified by shouting out or using graphically explicit signs.  Click HERE to read an article we've written about this very subject.
