Get Encouraged in the Gospel
If you are a Christian, you must realize that The Almighty has pronounced, “You are my beloved in Christ.”* It is a declaration that will never change. Ever. Never ever. Have you found your soul’s peace in this? I mean… right now? It is a moment-by-moment thing! It is constantly assailed by the puny squeaks and peeps of those around us, even we ourselves, who whimper, “You are no good. You are a failure. You are insignificant.” Similarly, sometimes our hearts rise and fall on the state of our (life-affirming) ministry or religious performance. Things go well, we’re OK. Things go bad, we’re not. Pray that God returns you to “gospel sanity,” the state of believing His indelible verdict, “You are my beloved in Christ.” Ask Him to constantly captivate you with His decision about who you are, and from that place, serve Him in true freedom and joy.
